What is Sheng Zhen Gong? Sheng Zhen Gong is a method of self-healing, often referred to as "the qigong of Unconditional Love." It involves a series of moving and non-moving forms, all designed to remove negative energy or "qi" and gather positive healing energy. The movements and contemplations of Sheng Zhen Gong help re-create that deep sense of inner peace we experienced as small children. As the body softens, and negative emotions are released, one experiences a feeling of perfect harmony with the universe.

Sheng Zhen Gong has three functions. It strengthens the body, calms the mind by removing negative emotions, and opens the heart. With regular practice, one experiences a renewed sense of joy and purpose, a deeper understanding of life, and more compassion for oneself and others.

“After years of training and competitions, I began to understand the true meaning of competition and devotion. It took me years to realize that winning wasn’t the goal of competition. Receiving a medal is not the point. Two or three days after, you don’t feel any difference in your life. I know because I experienced both defeat and victory…” Read the rest here: http://www.martialartsalbany.com/why-is-wushu-my-life-today/

Wudang Tai Chi Class Series CMAA is proud to present a 6 week course centering on the Wu Dang 28 Movement TaiJi form. This short form is based on one of the crown jewels of Wu Dang Internal Martial Arts – the Wu Dang San Feng 108 Movement TaiJi form. We are blessed here at CMAA with amazing teachers who teach amazing forms and skills. This 108 form has been taught by Dashi Jianye Jiang here at CMAA on Saturday mornings at 10:00 for years. This 28 form offers an excellent opportunity, particularly for beginners but for the more advanced practitioner as well, to learn the original movements in a condensed format. The postures will be presented in accordance with the way Dashi performs them so this will provide a strong stepping stone in learning and refining the 108 form.
