CMAA’s Opening and Continued Efforts to Maintain a Healthy Environment!
Here are the details:

Our students and their family members’ safety is and will always be our top priority. As such, we have carefully developed a set of new measures and procedures for our Kung Fu classes upon reopening of our studio to all students based on New York states reopening rules and guidelines.

Facility, Capacity, and Spacing Rules:

Per guidelines put forth by the NYS Department of Health we will limit our capacity based on available space to allow social distance with 6 feet between students during class.

· There will be a maximum of 12 students per class (class sign up will now be required).
· All excess seating will be removed from the studio. Only students will be allowed onsite during class.
· All exercise equipment including the mats will be cleaned and disinfected daily and in-between classes.
· Inside the studio, students will be placed in designated positions on the exercise mat ( i.e., alternating spaces to ensure six feet distance, and social distancing markers 6ft apart) when possible.
· In addition, both east and west entrance doors will remain open to ensure increased air ventilation and circulation, weather permitting. A fan will be placed in training area to assist with air flow.
- There will be no communal equipment sharing.  Please note students will be required to bring their own shoes, weapons and/or sparring gear.

Class Procedures

· All students must check-in upon arrival at facility.
· No more than one parent/guardian or family member will be allowed to drop off/pick up each student.
· All students and accompany family members must conduct self-assessment and will not be allowed enter the studio if they are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19.
· When participating in class training, please do not arrive more than 10 minutes prior to class.
· Please do not engage in any socializing or lingering at the studio, students and accompany family members must leave the premise as soon as possible after class.
· Disinfectant and hand sanitizers will be provided to all students.
· Masks are required for attendance.

September Class Schedule

To ensure the safety of all students, we have revised our group class schedule to reduce the number of classes each day and to ensure there is a 15 minute break between the classes. This is to minimize any potential overlap/contact among students and allow time for necessary clean-up between classes.

Classes will be offered in 3 different types:

1. Classes offered ONLINE (ex. Tai Chi and Kungfu )

2. Classes offered On Site w/ Online option (ex. Tai Chi) .

3. Classes On Site (ex. Kungfu, Tai Chi, Sanda Kickboxing, and Combatives).

Please note onsite classes require registration and have a 10-12 person maximum. Classes on ZOOM do not require registration and there is no capacity limit.

ZOOM classes for Tai Chi and Kids Kungfu sign in information will remain the same:

Changes to the September Schedule:
Saturday AM Taiji will now be offered both onsite and online from 9am-10:50am.

Depending on how things look in October we may also open Tues/Thurs 9am Taiji for both online and onsite, as well as potentially add back some Kungfu classes Mon/Wed/Fri.  Please follow the newsletter for information and check Zen Planner for the most up to date schedule!

Lastly, we thank you in advance for your cooperation as we travel these uncharted territories together.
